Artificial foliage installed in business premises — including offices, retail spaces, hospitality venues, care homes, and other non-domestic settings — must be included in the premises' fire risk assessment, as advised by UK Fire and Rescue Service guidance.

The suitability of any artificial plant or tree for a specific commercial premises is the responsibility of the responsible person for that premises (as defined under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005), in consultation with a competent fire risk assessor.
